In case of any changes required to the planned schedule, the student can request for a change before the program starts (Refer point no 2 below for timelines). The changes will be incorporated upon mutual agreement and on the availability of tutors.
- Non-attendance at a session or cancellation without providing advance notice of at least 24 hours notice will be not be allowed and the sessions will be treated as a “consumed”. Cancellation for emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be supported by proof of such emergency (doctor’s report, etc). Apart from one regular session cancellation or rescheduling allowed per month, only 1 emergency cancellation will be considered on compassionate grounds per month.
- Students are expected to log in on time for all scheduled sessions. The tutor will end the session if the student does not show up within 15 mins of the session start time. And, the session will be considered as a consumed session.
- Tutors are always required to be present in the session at the time of the start of the session. In case of a delay from the tutor, the student can log out of the session after waiting for 15 mins. This session will be rescheduled based on the tutor’s availability. Please send an email to MSP on email@example.com with the subject line – Tutor <Name> missed the class <Date>. Such reporting will ensure that the student gets a credit of an additional 30 free minutes of tutoring.
- If you require an additional session, you must intimate us 24 hours prior to your required time of the additional session on firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line – Requirement of an additional session <Date/time>. The request shall be considered on the basis of availability of the tutor.
Rescheduling of sessions – by students
- A student is given 1 opportunity per calendar month to reschedule a session. This means that a student can place a request to reschedule a class once a month without penalties, only if such reschedule request is placed 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session.
- Every reschedule thereafter, during the same calendar month will result in a reduction in the session credit. This means that this sessions will be considered as “consumed” by MSP.
Rescheduling of sessions – by tutors
Our tutors are strictly informed to be prompt and punctual for their classes, however, they may take leave at times due to personal emergencies.
- If the reschedule request from the tutor comes at least 24 hours before the session starts, the session will be rescheduled to the end of the lesson plan and the student will be informed accordingly.
- If a request is made by the tutor less than 24 hours of the start of the session, it will be considered as a session missed by the tutor.
- During exam or other critical times, the student can choose a substitute tutor from our list of alternate tutors for their unconsumed session. Every tutor is allowed to reschedule only once a month. If they reschedule more than that, an extra 30 minutes will be provided free by that tutor for every class rescheduled more than twice in a month.
- Tutor misses – If the tutor does not attend the session without any intimation, the session will be rescheduled. The tutor will be asked to provide 30 minutes of extra free session for every session missed.
- Self-Checks: Before sessions begin, please ensure you have a laptop or a desktop with at least a Windows 7 OS or Mac OS X, an Internet connection with maximum latency of 30 ms, a USB headset and mic. This must be available throughout the session to support the live session**.
- Student Tech Issue – If there is any connectivity issue at student’s end and the issue is not resolved and the problem persists on student’s side for more than 15 minutes, a scheduled session will be deemed as consumed. While working towards a resolution during the first 15 minutes, the student must send an email to email@example.com to inform them of the problem.
- Tutor Tech Issue – If there are any connectivity or technical glitches at the tutor’s end, the student needs to wait for 15 mins for the tutor to re-join. In case the session does not resume in 15 mins, the student may then send an email to MSP at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line – “Connectivity issue lost class <Date>”. The session will be rescheduled
